GSD4 General Service Back Pressure Regulator

The GSD4 1/2″ back pressure regulator is popular for fuel cell testing, liquid spray control, and many other applications you can read about by selecting the “Applications” tab . These back pressure regulators can be constructed with various body and diaphragm material options to match specific application, chemical media and temperature requirements.

Equilibar GS Series

The Equilibar® GS ‘General Service’ Series is a family of back pressure regulators useful for controlling gas, liquid, mixed phase or supercritical fluid systems. The GS uses Equilibar’s patented multiple-orifice direct-sealing diaphragm technology to control back pressure with great accuracy where high temperatures, aggressive chemicals, mixed phase media, or other demanding conditions exist.

Equilibar back pressure regulators are dome-loaded with pilot operation. This means that gas or air is fed into the top (dome) area of the regulator to provide the pressure setpoint for the process. The pressure of the gas in the dome is set by a secondary standard regulator called a pilot regulator. The pilot regulator can be manual or electronic, depending on the application’s requirements.

The GS series is ideally sized where accurate control is needed in pilot plant or manufacturing scale applications.
