With a strong background in multimedia communications, Julia Feiler is well equipped to spread the word about Equilibar’s technology, services, and events in her role as digital communications specialist.
“I chose my career because my parents are both entrepreneurs,” she said, “and I’ve seen how crucial it is in today’s world to communicate effectively.”
After graduating from Florida Atlantic University in 2021, Julia worked in digital marketing and social media content creation for restaurants, fitness centers and medical offices. She later worked as a digital marketing account manager for a company in Asheville, achieving the highest retention rate in the company’s history.
Julia joined Equilibar in November of 2022, working closely with technical content creator Diane Jacober. She quickly began assisting with several communications-related tasks, including the logistics involved in participating in multiple trade shows around the world each year. “In a previous job, I worked on event logistics and promotion so it’s a natural fit to work on trade shows. Eventually I would like to take over most of the show details to free up Diane so she can focus even more on technical content, which adds so much value for our customers and partners.”
Originally from South Florida, Julia has enjoyed exploring the mountains of Western North Carolina since she moved here. In addition to hiking and camping, her hobbies include gardening, drawing, photography, and cooking all types of cuisines. “Cooking is a passion of mine,” she said. “I love to experiment with different dishes and consistently try new recipes, so I can’t say I have one dish that is my favorite because all cooking is enjoyable to me.
“I am also a rescue mom to a lot of animals. Animals in need are a weakness for me!”
Julia says she enjoys the consistent change of pace that her job brings. “Every day is different and keeps me on my toes. My favorite part about going to work is being able to work alongside my highly motivated colleagues, express my creativity and learn new skills that help more people learn about Equilibar.”
