Equilibar GSDH8 back pressure regulator

GSDH8 General Service Back Pressure Regulator

The GSDH8 is the highest flow (Cv) high pressure model in the Equilibar GS General Services Series of back pressure regulators. This 1″ valve comes standard with NPT and BSPP threaded connections but many other options are available including ANSI and DIN flanges.  The high speed response of the GS series maintains extremely accurate pressure despite fluctuating system demands and flow variations.

The GSDH8 is also commonly used in industrial scale electrolysis or electrolyzer pressure control to control the gas streams produced in water electrolysis for Hydrogen production. It is also often used in higher pressure general industrial applications like high pressure pump test stands and liquid chemical systems.

GS Series (General Service)

The GS General Service is a family of back pressure regulators useful for gas, liquid, or mixed gas & liquid service. The General Service design uses Equilibar’s unique multiple orifice, direct diaphragm sealing technology to control back pressure with great accuracy where high temperatures, aggressive chemicals, mixed gas/liquid phase media, or other demanding conditions exist. The GS series is a dome loaded pilot operated design. Pilot pressure may be provided by a remote manually adjusted set point regulator or with an electronic pressure regulator to allow automated or closed loop control of your back pressure. The GS series is ideally sized where accurate control is needed in pilot plant or manufacturing scale applications.

Pressure Control for Pyrolysis Processes

Pyrolysis is the thermal decomposition of materials at elevated temperatures. Pyrolysis processes have a wide variety of uses throughout industry—they are used to break down heavy hydrocarbons in oil refining, for example, and to reduce organic matter to elemental carbon for charcoal production. Pyrolysis reactors are particularly well suited for Equilibar technology because they involve Read More
