Product Description
U6L High Pressure Ultra Low Flow Back Pressure Regulator

U3L Ultra Low Flow Back Pressure Regulator

The Ultra Low Flow Series (UL) performs similarly to the standard Research Series back pressure regulators, but can operate at lower flow rates. The U3L flow coefficient ranges from 1E-09 to 0.05 and can control pressures up to 3000 psig/200 bar(g).

The U3L0 offers the smallest port connection of the “Ultra Low-flow” UL series. These 1/16″ ports are ideal for applications where minimal dead volume is required. The maximum cv for this size is 0.01.

The U3L1 is the most popular model in the entire UL “Ultra Low-flow” series of back pressure regulator. The 1/8″ port size is ideal for catalyst or research sized applications in a laboratory scale environment. The U3L1 is most often used to control reactor vessel pressures between 1000 and 3000 psi, but in certain membrane diaphragm materials can accurately control at pressures near atmosphere.

The U3L2 offers the largest port connection size for the U3L series. The 1/4 inch ports are ideal for systems that utilize larger tubing sizes. Even with these larger ports the U3L still maintains superior pressure control at low flow rates while operating up to 3000 psi / 200 bar.

Equilibar’s Research Series is designed to meet the demanding requirements catalyst research and high pressure reactor control applications. All Equilibar Research products hold stable pressure across very wide flow ranges, and can handle liquids, gases, or multi-phase fluids. These products are commonly used with highly aggressive chemicals and can perform at temperatures up to 450C.

Equilibar back pressure regulators are 1:1 dome-loaded, meaning that an inert gas or liquid must be supplied at a constant pressure to the dome chamber of the BPR equal to the desired setpoint. This “pilot pressure” can be supplied through a manual pressure regulator or by an electronic pressure regulator for computer automation.
