The H6PF2 regulator is a modified H6P designed to offer higher maximum flow rates. This additional Cv capacity is often useful for mixed liquid and gas phase reactor outlets that can experience intermittent surges with momentary high output flow rates. It has a maximum pressure of 6000 psi like the H6P and is available in 1/4″ port size.
The H6PF2 is part of Equilibar’s Research Series back pressure regulators (BPRs) which are designed to meet the demanding requirements of catalyst research and high pressure reactor control applications. Equilibar back pressure regulators hold stable pressure across very wide range of flow rates and can handle liquids, gases, or multi-phase fluids. These valves can be configured for use with highly aggressive chemicals or for extremely high temperatures.
Equilibar back pressure regulators are 1:1 dome-loaded, meaning that a pilot pressure must be supplied to the dome of the BPR equal to the desired setpoint. This pilot pressure can be supplied by a manual gas regulator or by an electronic pressure regulator (EPR) for computer automation.
The H6PF2 is one of Equilibar’s patented multi-orifice design regulators, in which more orifices open up as needed to accommodate increasing flow requirements. This design offers the highest possible precision in multi-phase flow applications.
